Artificial flowers – great substitutes for real flowers
Many people are now increasingly accepting artificial flowers as excellent substitutes for genuine flowers, even though they were previously labeled as “just not the same thing”. As manufacturing technology has advanced, it is now possible for fake flowers to achieve almost the same look and feel as real flowers, a great improvement from plastic-looking green leaves that were very obviously fake. There is a wide variety of flowers of which replicas may be available, such as orchids, lilies, magnolias, orchids, gerbera daisies, roses, lilacs and many others. Some of the more pricey and famous companies also add accents to the artificial flowers they sell, including berries, baby’s breath, pearls, stephanotis, gypsophila, porcelain mini stephanotis, rhinestones, rhinestone flowers, pearl sprays, color & clear crystals, gold tone preserved baby's breath and stephanotis.
The companies that deal in artificial flowers are very well able to cater to the demand for offering very realistic flowers in many materials including silk, foam, paper, latex and even silk and velvet, often surprising customers as to how realistic the flowers look. However, the material used in the production differs greatly according to the type of flower that is being designed. For instance, calla lilies are typically restricted to foam and latex rather than silk, since these two materials are able to provide the greatest level of realistic look and feel. Silk is not typically used since silk will not able to retain its shape for extended periods of time which will result in a very poor quality imitation that looks very obviously artificial.
Several people are now increasing showing a preference for artificial flowers since they offer unparalleled value for money. A bouquet of synthetic flowers usually costs half of what a bouquet of real flowers would cost, and there is hardly any difference between the two when it comes to look and feel. Additionally, in contrast to real flowers, the artificial variety has the benefit of being available throughout the year rather than being restricted to specific seasons. They do not wilt in warm weather and do not need to be watered like real flowers do.

is the tremendous variety that you can find on the market. Whether you want a traditional cream and white bouquet or a colorful one, you can very easily get one. As such, decorative bouquets consisting of synthetic flowers could be just the thing you need to make your big day memorable without breaking your bank account.
Can you make candles that have real flowers in the wax?
If so, how do you do this?
You can, but there are two things you have to be VERY careful of. First, the flowers need to be dried - fresh ones will eventually mold because of the water content. Of course, the danger in dried flowers is that they can catch on fire. So, there are a couple of ways to go about being safe in that respect. First, there is a harder wax on the market - hurricane wax - that is supposed to keep flammable items encased in a harder wax which makes it less likely to catch on fire. But the way I do it is to make a small pillar candle first (like a 3X3). Then I put that pillar in a larger size mold - like a 4X4 round. I use a small wick so the melt pool should never reach outside the original pillar candle and then I burn them with extreme caution and never unattended. I've done really pretty fall leaves, flowers and rose petals this way. Hope this helps!
