Home Improvement Tips For Your Kids Room-Give It A Rain Forest Theme
If you are looking forward to kids’ home improvement then try out the rain forest theme. It is vibrant, fun and enthusiastic. It is sure to keep the mood and spirits of the kids high. If you think it is very difficult and complicated task then you must follow these 5 simple tips:
1. Start with the painting: Start with painting first keeping in mind the theme. You can also get the murals made or paint the landscape to give the room a perfect feel of rain forest. Try and make it as real as possible. Try painting an evolving layer or paint on the ceiling a dense canopy of tree tops of tropical rain forests with blue dashes of peeping sky between the leaves. Then beneath it make a layer of canopy with similar leaves just little denser as there is less of sunlight. Remember, the area beneath it must be shadowy and painted in a darker tone of the tree leaves. Try painting young trees or small shrubs. If you wish to do the flooring then it can have imprints of decayed leaves and fruits.
2. Take care of colors: For the best look and feel you have to be very careful with colors. Prefer using fine blue shade for uppermost layer of kids’ room décor. It should then gradually fade into light green and then dark green in the sky areas. Do the shading very carefully to give it an artistic angle. Don’t give dark shade borders. Along the middle third area paint trunks of the trees. The point where tree trunk ends draw beautiful treetops. Don’t forget to leave some visible sky when painting the top.
3. Add some animals to the mural: When painting, remember to paint some snakes, reptiles, birds, insects, mammals etc in the uppermost area. Draw few jungle animals on the foot of the trees. However, don’t overdo the things as it will ruin the whole effect of tropical rain forest theme.
4. Add right accessories: For perfect three dimensional look you can even try fixing few animal toys to the wall. You can even use the taught rope to adorn the curtains rather than curtain rods for perfect rain forest look. You can even add room fountains, live birds. To add to the overall effect you can get the CD to make the room sound like a tropical rain forest.
5. Don’t compromise on comfort: Remember the whole purpose of kid’s room. It is to give them comfort, privacy and a space of their own. Select the bedroom’s furniture and bedding very carefully as it concerns comfort and safety of your dear ones. To get the right home improvement done it is very important to get the bed in right color and design.
